Hidden Text Share

search What we check

How much of the main text sits in elements hidden by markup (the hidden attribute, inline display:none or visibility:hidden, the hidden class). Readers do not see that text by default; crawlers that read raw HTML get all of it.

build How to fix

1. 1 Check that hidden blocks are meant for readers who open them, such as collapsed sections or tabs.
2. 2 Render alternative versions, translations or repeated cards on demand instead of shipping them in the main HTML.
3. 3 Keep the text a reader sees first complete on its own: the answer should not live only in a hidden block.
