Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026

1. Introduction

Hybrid Ranking ("we", "us", "our") operates the website hybridranking.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable EU data protection laws.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data:

  • Email address — provided during account registration
  • Password — stored in hashed form (we never store plaintext passwords)
  • URLs you audit — the web addresses you submit for SEO analysis
  • Audit results — the SEO check outcomes associated with your account
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, server logs

3. Payment Data

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. as our payment processor. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or other payment card details. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI DSS standards. We only store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account. For more information, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

4. Purpose of Data Processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Account management — creating and maintaining your user account
  • SEO audits — fetching and analyzing the web pages you submit
  • AI-powered analysis — using large language models (LLMs) to classify page types and assess content quality (Pro feature)
  • Subscription management — processing and managing Pro subscriptions via Stripe
  • Service improvement — understanding how the service is used to improve features

The legal basis for processing is your consent (account registration), contract performance (providing the audit service), and legitimate interest (service operation and improvement).

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Hybrid Ranking uses artificial intelligence (large language models) to analyze web pages for Pro audits. Specifically, AI is used to:

  • Detect the type of page being audited (article, FAQ, homepage, etc.)
  • Assess content quality and E-E-A-T signals

Page content is sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI) for analysis. We do not use your data to train AI models. AI analysis results are stored as part of your audit data.

6. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • Session cookie — essential for keeping you logged in (strictly necessary)
  • Theme preference — remembers your light/dark mode choice (stored in localStorage, not a cookie)

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Audit results are retained to provide you with historical comparison. If you delete your account, all associated personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Server logs are retained for 90 days.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to data portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing of your data for certain purposes
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw your consent at any time

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure server infrastructure.
